Down Jacket Repair

I have a beautiful down jacket, made by J&H, which is now about 25 years old. It was a mountaineering jacket. I recently wore it, however, it is leaking down feather through the fabric. It does not seem to be leaking down through the seams.

Is there anything I can do to repair this jacket?

Terry,

You might return the jacket to One Planet for repair; alternatively, you could send it to Remote Equipment Repairs to have the work done.

All the best.

It is probably loosing all the small pin feathers that come with the down.
25 years is a good life span tho, how long since you washed it and etc??
First I would wash it treat it with Nikwax and then wait and see.
Once the nylon shell material starts to decalender and the nylon threads return to the original round shape I don't think that too much can be done economically. Remembering that the shelf life of most nylon is around 10 years anyway
