From previous posts I can see that some discussion was generated around "polycro" I know Gossamer Gear have it online but did anyone discover a source in Aus?

The GG name for it is POLYCRYO but commonly misspelled Polycro.
My guess is that it was simply made up with the prefix Poly(mer) and the suffix Cryo (for icy-cold) because it is indeed window insulation material.

K but if I get a hole in my tent floor using that stuff then it's obviously your guys' fault.

No, I never used the stuff but I have handled window insulation material before and reading inbetween the lines I think that it is a bit of a pain to open up and picks up dirt anyway.
But just to show how similar folk with similar needs find different solutions, Glen at GG likes it, Henry at TT prefers Tyvek. (they know each other very well)
To be fair, Glen is more into UL and Henry into LW , hence the different choices.

well... I played with it but never used it as a groundsheet, still in the shed somewhere. I did cut some to see what it would glue too and recall that it is surprisingly tough, used Cuben instead.
