TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Second arrow tent

Wed 25 Mar, 2009 6:02 pm

Purchased this tent last week and thought that I should erect it before I test it this week. Unfortunately it didn't make it past the back verandah. Within 2mins I had somehow pulled one of the guy ropes in the small vestible end from the crimp fitting. Am going to take it to Mountain design in Hobart tomorrow to see if they can change the guy rope before friday. If not then a simple tie off will be suffice.

Hope this is not a common fault as all vestible guy ropes have this fitting; anyone had this problem??

Call WE.

When i had a prob, Ian Maley (the founder) called me to resolve the issue.
No better person to get advice from than the designer.

Just an update on the guy rope issue.... dropped in on MD in Hobart spoke to the infamous "Amanda" told her about the problem. She was very obliging and gladly gave me another complete guy rope.

Very happy to give this chic my vote! (and not just because she may be reading this post!!) :D
