Will I fit inside that tent ?

TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Will I fit inside that tent ?

A common comment about Tarptent is that they are not available in retail shops therefore one can't step inside them for a first hand experience.
To be fair I estimate that 90% (whatever...) of tents are not available in Australia let alone in your nearest shop, still that does not make it any easier.
To try to overcome that we at Tarptent have now a new 3D player that ,I think, gives a much more realistic experience of being there.
Once you load the clip you can turn the shelter anyway you like and click on the annotation (the numbers) for a quick explanation of what you see .
This is a still from the SS2 clip :

The clips are in the Video section (Products_Videos) and at the end of the slide show in each product page.

Looks handy, but doesn't solve the dilemma of people over that height... Sucks to be tall sometimes ):
Was 183cm/6ft chosen just as a random yardstick, or are the Tarptents specifically designed for people that height or under?

Nice bit of multimedia product presentation. At the end of the day, there are some who have a good sense of dimension while others can only be helped by physical tryout.
Just move it!

Mats and sleeping bags come in that size so it is a point of reference.
(note that a "medium" size mat or sb is shorter than that).

It isn't possible, at the moment, to have a "custom size dummy" and I am pretty sure that someone at 5'4" will be wondering why they need to buy a tent that fits a 6'5" person or care what they look like inside one, but the point here is to give a better idea than what we have had so far.
I don't know of anyone else that has something as good or better than those 3D clips.
Given that we know the dummy is 6', if it looks like ,say, 5 fingers can be put between the head and the end/top (the size of the forehead is close to that) one could come to the conclusion that, say , a 6'4" person will also fit.
Again not ideal but better than some.
