WE pindar 60

Hi All
I am looking for a pack to use on short walks (a few nights) and in warmer climates (so not a lot of cold weather gear), mostly off track. As I end up carrying more than my share for 2 people (
), I am considering a 60 l pack. My present pack is a 90+L WE Expedition that I have owned for about 20 yrs. I am very happy with this robust canvas pack, single compartment, and minimalist design (I hate all the pockets and bits and pieces on many modern packs). I still use it in Tasmania where I need the extra volume.
At present I have a short list of one - WE pindar 60. Have looked at the OP mungo but don't like the top closure and have also noted the comments on this forum about the susceptibility to damage on its bottom. The Stilette while classified at 65L seemed to hold at least 10 l more gear than the pindar when I did my test pack. Therefore give that it is also about twice the price of the pindar, I rate it a distant second.
I would be interested in any comments. I have been unable to find any discussion on the Pindar on this forum but hope someone here may have one.
Cheers
