Anyone seen these or have opinions? Can't find a stockist and looking at quilt options.

Haven't seen them anywhere yet myself, but certainly interested to see what they're like. Keen to see the pricing as well, as I would be interested if they were a cheaper option to the venerable EE.

I'd be using as an overbag and wonder why the quilt isn't filled with the best quality down
I too am interested in the price to compare with the very similar offering from WM

Not sure the point of the lower two straps. If you have cold feet just snap up the footbox. Will be interesting to see pricing.

Update:

A little birdy tells me that they won't start touching down until March 2016. The birdy also tweeted that the RRP will be in the $299-399AUD ballpack.

For that price and what you get I'd just go for one of undercycling-mike's quilts.

Yep. If I can manage the finances, I'd like to have one of his quilts for summer walking. Nothing I have is really suitable.

before I pull the pin on a couple: apart from the hood, are there significant weight and packing advantages over a newer lightweight sleeping bag?

I notice that the quilt in undercling mike's pictures pretty much wraps around to meet in the middle (at the back). It seems to be pretty much a sleeping bag in dimensions, without a zip or hood of course.

Just reading your posts about quilts and thought I would show a pic of the one I've made. It's argon shell and 750 down fill (12oz) all supplies from Simon @ Tier Gear. I love it so far, but i will say that for most of the camping and hiking done so far I have found it quite warm. (No serious winter activities since I made it but can't wait to put it through its paces) The kids are just growing out of there current sleeping bags so theirs will be the next additions before winter when we tackle the Simpson dessert for three weeks!

I would buy local but I'm after a short quilt for my wife and michael only produces a standard size. Plus the sewn in footbox, for me, negates the concept of a quilt. I think that I'm after a throw-over design that can be cinched.

I like the idea of the EE revelation design.

Yep, I am tossing up a few options too

1. an extra wide revelation for the wife and I when we walk together + a standard revelation for me when I walk solo (massive weight saving but concerned about how effective the wide quilt will be for 2, plus that's nearly a grand)
2. 1 short + 1 standard - we could foreseeably merge or overlap the quilts)
3. 1 standard only which i use when solo and she uses when we camp together with me using my old sleeping bag (500g weight penalty for me is tolerable given that i walk slower and pick easier walks with the missus plus I save $361)
4. 1 standard xtra wide which we use together and I take solo - still 500g lighter than my sleeping bag but 100g or so heavier than option 1 but, again $361 less quids than buying 2.

the permutations are endless...

the main problem is my wife's 2.1 kg monstrosity of a sleeping bag that also takes up half her pack.

Hi mate, I'll just jump in here to add that I'm working towards offering a larger and smaller size as well as footbox options, including a zip and drawcord footbox, as a priority at the moment.
