glow stuff drops its effectiveness as it gets colder, at least in my experience. I've always found that glow stuff works great going from bright to dark, but fades along with the twilight, so it doesn't show much after dark. That being said, I am planning on getting some glow makers for my hammock for group trips, rather than hanging a glowstick as some do, as a way to help the kids find me if needed. Although I've found my light gray tarp shows up really well on bright nights.
Not a bad idea in the right context, I'd use glow cord for zipper pulls, bag tags and lanyards more I think.
