Tempering new tents

So how many of us follow the instructions that come with almost all tents?
:?:
Who sets them up and hoses them down to set the fabric before taking them away and using them?
We have a Rays Geodome here and because we need it to last I will be setting it up soon and I will spray it with the hose and tension it properly
Also I will be giving it the full DWR treatment with Nikwax SolarProof because cheap tents don't usually have the DWR treatment and I think it helps a lot.
In the same vein how many of you go around a new tents and add beckets and other wear reducing aids on the peg-out points?

I think that many enjoy the thrill of setting their tent up , without instructions , for the first time in the bush.
The worse the weather the more they seem to like it.

It's an IQ test and a test on the tent design, how intuitive it is. So all good. LOL

I do, but I'm a bit of a fanatic about looking after my gear. I find the first set-up a good time to figure out possible weak points, settup troubles and stuff like that.

speaking of which, I have a tent that is going to need some sunblock in the near future.
