So I need to do something with the Plateau and quickly as I'll need it to protect the tadpole week-end after next and i can't see the 4YO sleeping out under the stars as I usually do when it isn't raining.
One tube of silicon should do the coating but I don't have any clear at the moment, I do have a tube of white tho.
Can anybody see any problems with using a coloured silicon to do the waterproofing coat?
I mean the tents PURPLE I can't see it getting any worse where the colour is concerned

It might work but any silicone that is not translucent is not 100% silicone so it may not work all that well with tent fabric.
A customer of mine did a silnylon tarp with some white silicone it peeled off not long after (no idea what brand it was...)

I'm trying the experiment on a twice replaced MD Somnus mattress that has once more developed a porous skin
The mattress has no value so I'll see if the white silicon flakes off over/during the snow season, one things for sure it won't spray finely from the same type of bottle I usually use and I had to scrape it on using one of my plastic applicators

OK I also tried the white on that old Caddis
Don't bother people; it seems there is far too much filler/colouring in the stuff to work well although it was partly my fault as the stuff had already started to gell up
Learn from my mistake please
