Waterproof, hard cases - any recommendations?

I'm planning a trip which will involve several days contact with water, so I'd like to try and find a good solution to water proof my electronic gadgets.

Mainly my Kindle, my PLB (it's a two-way messenger) and my iPhone. I'd also love a hard case, to stop the Kindle from getting broken in the bag.

I've tried a few cases from eBay (GooYoo brand), but they're no where near water tight enough. If I'm going to carry the extra weight, it may as well work.

Any recommendations?

If you put waterproofness and hardcase above all else have a look a the Plano boxes designed to hold smelly liquid soft baits (http://www.planomolding.com/fishing/sto ... xes/464810 ). Available at many tackle stores (also online of course). They are very, very water tight as the soft bait juice leaks out of just about any other container but never these.

They are heavy, and may be expensive in a size to fit all the gadgets.

Otherwise the heavy clear vinyl phone cases (various sizes) should be pretty good, especially if also within a larger dry bag.

Since otter doesn't do hard-cases anymore, the plano is probably the best small ones. Pelican micro-cases are okay, but not for full immersion. the pelican boxes with the heavy duty latches are good for pretty much anything, but they are costly. another thought would be to use hard sandwich boxes, and put those inside a drybag.

looks like the elemental brand boxes might be made by S3, and look very similar to the old otterboxes. if they are USA made, they might be alright.

If you want a seriously waterproof hard case, you could have a look at Underwater Kinetics in the UK. Their UltraBox series with 7 different sizes might suit you.

I have one and they are amazingly tough and seriously waterproof. I use mine to keep electronics and camera secure & dry when kayaking. Has never ever leaked or failed.

Oh nice. The UltraBox 308 looks pretty much perfect. Thanks for the tip.

(And thanks to everyone else for your suggestions.)
