Hi guys im looking for a cheap packraft paddle, any ideas?

Buy a cheap proper kayak paddle, and think about doing your own ferrules if you want it multi-piece.

Don't waste money with those stupid little paddles that come with cheap pool rafts - they're too flexible, and the paddle blade is too small to move your raft when you need it moved - eg if heading the wrong way into a rapid.

Rays outdoors do a cheap 2. I lost half of my 4 and its so far worked well.

Thanks a lot for all the info guys, at the moment I'm just beginning and I don't want to pour too much money into something else just yet haha.

I was thinking around $100, I'm not too worried about weight (well nothing crazy) at this point as my pack generally verges on UL.

I might have a look at the ones at Rays Outdoors and see what they are like, and will keep an eye on Torpedo7.

At this point I don't want to get one from the states until I want to invest some actual money on a good one, mostly just because shipping on average is around 40-75USD for one

I have a alum shaft AE paddle and it is a bit of a wobbly thing.

I'd agree though, check out a local kayaking place, even if they dont have 4 piece, easy to make from spare shaft and some clips.

The other choice you have are hand paddles.
I made my own using a couple of frisbees and they were simple, light and easy to use.

I'm considering getting a set of the Advanced Elements Ultralight Pack Paddles. How did you go using them and would you recommend them?

Horizon Line Canoes sell a 3 piece white water break down paddle for $139. Aussie seller. Google them.

I have a Advanced Elements paddle. I don't like it much. Like all their paddles, it's too long. 230cm is OK on flat water but not great for paddling rapids, as far as I'm concerned.
