TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Best pack for canyoning

Thu 12 Jan, 2017 6:52 pm

Hi, I will be spending 5 days doing a number of the Karijini gorges (with guides) with a small group focusing on photography. What do people think would be the best pack for carrying my camera gear (probably around 35+ litres neeeded). We will be doing a lot of rope work as well as swimming. Any suggestions most appreciated!
Thanks

One Planet Traverse is a good option for you

Also check out Summit Gear as they specialise in Canyonning Packs http://www.summitgear.com.au/mid-sized-packs/

Cactus Gear, Mont and Wilderness Equipment also make some packs suitable for canyoning too.

Typically canyoning packs are made using very durable fabrics. If you really only have one trip to do then I guess it probably doesnt matter too much then
