TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

GPS watch screen protectors

Postby LuxLuthor05 » Fri 02 Jun, 2017 9:56 am

Hi all,

Quick question...

I am looking at buying one of those fandangled shiny GPS 'Sport' watches (I swim a lot and lose track of progress, and the GPS would be excellent to have when hiking).

The scratch resistant 'Sapphire glass' options are significantly more expensive, so I was hoping to just use a glass screen protector... does anybody know whether these screen protectors stay on after being used underwater? No point getting one if I cant swim with it, as it just becomes an overly expensive (much less cool looking) GPS that leaves me to buy a fitbit separately.
