So back in 2015 i purchased these Keen boots (see pic)
Love love love these boots.
Tried to find another pair, seems they don't have this anymore. Bugger!
Could anyone identify which model these boots in the pic are?
Or should i just lash out on the Salomon Quest 4D 2 GTX that keeps popping up as 'best boot' in a search?

I also love these boots, and fortunately can find them in Sydney quit readily (Padddy Palin, Trek and Travel). I think they both have websites...

Where did you get them resoled with Vibram? I have failed miserably in that quest, and I would love to get my current pair resoled as that is all that is wrong with them.

I ended up getting a pair of Keen 'Oakridge' from my local camping store. (see pic)
They sort of feel similar...but.... there is a harsh seam at ankle height that does not have the same padding as the original 'Gypsum'.
It's a rural area so they only have a limited range in stock, they showed me another pair of Keen, they were worse.

well, i did not want to die wondering, so i ordered a pair of the highly ranked salomon Quest 4D 2 GTX from a business i had never heard of before
called 'The next pair' . Crikey! talk about fast, sydney to rural queensland in 24 hours.
The boots are seriously heavy duty and comfortable.

It will be interesting to hear how you go with them. I found the Salomon and Scarpa fit too narrow, which is why Iended up with the Keens.

Yes the original keen Gypsum have a nice wide fit, the salomon are narrower but not too bad.

I got a pair of the oakridge too. Put them on in the shop and loved the space and feel and weight of the boot. Unfortunately my picky feet never took to them, I think maybe not enough arch support for extremely flat feet.?
Anyway I still use them for back up, short day trips.

I have the Keen Gypsum mids as well and I absolutely love them. I'll have to go and grab another pair from South Wharf before they are all gone as I don't know if I could cope going through trying to find comfortable hiking shoes again. They really are very good. Interested to hear how your new ones go.

The model Koven are pretty much the same as the Gypsum except synthetic. I've worn both as an outdoor work shoe. Also available from Anaconda who have fairly predictable rolling sales.

I wear Keen Targhee 2 shoes but they come as boots too. They are hands-down the most comfortable shoes I have owned. I'll definitely but another pair. I don't think they would suit a narrow foot though.

I wear keen targhee mid (mid height boot - as I find a full boot uncomfortable for up/downhill gradients) . Waterproof (can vouch for this after a full day of torrential driving rain going over the pass on the Routeburn and when my boots came off in the hut my socks were dry) , comfortable straight out of the box, best boot I've ever owned. I looked everywhere and only outlet I could find in Aus was Mountain Designs.
