Sleeping bag suggestions

Hey Everyone, I am after some advice re a sleeping bags to use primarily across the Blue Mountains from May to October (remote sections of the Coxs river, Kanangra and the Grose valley.
). It would be used under Tarps and the occasional Bivvy (I have a alpkit XL for the Bivys.)
EDIT: the minimum temps would probably be around -2 to 0c but could be lower with wind chill. and maybe max of 10-15c.

The last 10 years I have hammock camped in the above locations with an underquilt rated to -6 comfort and a Denali +6 Comfort sleeping bag as a top quilt and have been pretty cosy.
I love the hammock but I'm looking to do some tarp camping to connect more with my surroundings and save some weight.

I have just bought an Etherlight XT sleeping mat.
I'm 35yo 6ft 84kgs and a warm sleeper.

I'm looking at something for around $300. I Was thinking the Marmot Sawtooth which has a comfort rating of -6c. Or the Sea to Summit Trek 3 comfort rating of -6 but $410.
Would these be suitable? I don't want to buy something and be sweating and leaving it open 99% of the time I use it.

Any advice would be appreciated!

On a sleeping bag, myself I think I'd be looking at something with at least 350-400 gms of 850 CUIN of down in a 'bag.' For what that's worth.

Just a thought..and knowing nothing about hammock setups. (Or how much underquilts weigh..)

Could you use that underquilt combined with a mat as a regular quiit? -6c comfort sounds like a good temp for a warm sleeper in the areas you have mentioned. Especially if you bring along a down jacket as a booster/camp wear.

Thanks, that is a really good suggestion! I have never tried quilts on the ground. The only challenge is my particular quilt doesn't easily seal at the foot end so I would have to do some mods. That is an option though!

Thanks for the tips guys. It would be possible to use the UQ but it would let in too much of a draught given how narrow it is.
I think I will still get a winter rated bag.

The Marmot is well priced, tad heavy by modern standards at 1.15kg.

I am also a warm sleeper and commonly advocate a -2 to 0 C down bag with a silk liner for another 2 C warmth and cleanliness and layering ability, used in many scenarios around Aust and overseas spots. If it gets any colder extra clothes can be worn, but in 90% of scenarios ground level winter Aust, spring in overseas alpine areas up to 3000-4000m+ indoor trekking tea houses etc it does the job. Used to have a -9 C bag and it was unusable most times for my warm body temps.

-2 to 0 C sleeping bag not a quilt design would be warmer for lower temps. Quilts not so good for side sleepers and tossers as drafts get in.

If you ask my friends they would say I am a tosser so I think a quilt is out haha. thanks for your advice. That aligns with the further research and advice I have had. I'm thinking maybe the sea to summit trek 2 which is -1 comfort and-8 limit. I already have a liner and a good down Jacket.
