TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Tarp pole

Does anyone know of telescopic tent poles to use with a tarp? Most telescopic poles at camping stores only pack down to about 1.2 meters which is too long. Not really interested in using walking poles at all.

Will you be above the tree line? If not then who carries poles? Having said that I still have my old Paddy Palin aluminium poles. Don't use them any more though.
