TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hoping to see if anyone has any idea on what this might be. I found it recently in a fireplace at a scout camp, Material is aluminium and the three parts screw together. The open end has a lip but no thread so looks like something can be put on it but I did not find any other parts. The piece with the mesh and the piece with the holes and fins are booth about 2cm high, the bottom/top is 1cm. Diameter is about 6cm.
Hubby thought it might have been an alcohol stove?

Definitely a herb grinder. The bottom bit can go on top probably and still be functional.

There must be a way of using those bits to make an alcohol burner of some sort.
