TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I’ve got an older TT Moment that doesn’t have the detachable fly so I lose a fair bit of cross breeze - we get some stifling summer temps here and I’m also prime mozzie bait so I’m wondering if something like the Oztrail Mozzie Dome might be a good el cheapo option - plenty of room to move inside and not horrendously heavy .
Love to hear good bad ugly from anyone who has used 1 plus any alternatives
Thanks a mil

We bought the Mozzie dome for our walk on the Jatbula Track in NT. It is a great set up and served its purpose. Not ultra light but we did not need a lot of heavy gear on this great walk.

I have eyed them as an option. Dissuaded by the weight back then but really it's not bad. A great tropic or dry season way to go I think, especially for the price and simplicity. Carry a UL 3x3 tarp to make it a luxury shelter space for most conditions.
One could even pitch it on top of a roofed picnic table in certain places
