TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Osprey Renn 50L - aftermarket front stretchy/mesh pocket

Postby Iamspartacus » Sat 18 Jan, 2025 1:22 pm

My wife has purchased an Osprey Renn 50L pack women's. She's days it's comfortable, and it seems to be a nicely made pack for $240. She'd like to add an aftermarket front stretch/mesh pocket (similar to those found on many of Osprey's other packs). Do Osprey or other brands make something like that please? There are three attachment loops down each side of the front of the pack and I presume this is where a pocket would attach. If there's no commercially available solution I suspect she'll just run bungee cord through the loops.

Thanks in advance for the help.

To sew a mesh panel on this bag would be difficult. (Ie need to remove the frame and deal with sewing around inside the tight internal volume).

I would probably make up a mesh bag and attach that externally. Trucker mesh is good.
