Heellooo guys!
I'm on a mission.
I need a good quality 2 man tent.
For hiking, obviously.
Light weight would be handy too.
looking to spend 350$ on it, tops.
Im going to be doing quiet a bit of walking in the future and I know it will come to good use, so,
I need a good one, have chatted to some close friends that do a fair bit of walking. Would love some more ideas.
Thanks bunches guys!

Thanks for the plug but the Moment is a solo tent, in fact the smallest of the TT solo tents.
If Molly likes the idea of a Tarptent , then I would suggest the Double Rainbow at around 1200g all up.
You can get a liner for that one if humidity is a problem. That catches drips from the fly.
Or you can look at the Scarp 2. This is a large double wall two person tent. Can be converted for winter use too (with the extra poles)
However the Scarp 2 is $325 US, so a bit more than $350 delivered. (around $370)

anything other than tarptents? surely there are people on here that use 2 man tents? im kinda interested in this topic also as i have been considering getting a 2 man for use a couple of times a year (sometimes 1.5man just is not enough... no matter how much you like the other person...)

How about a brand new cheery yellow shangri-la 3 delivered to your door for $250. It's about 750 grams and will cop more of a beating than most 3 season tents around.
Pm me for details if interested

A few days ago I received a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 (
http://www.bigagnes.com/Products/Detail ... edhouseSL1) from the US. I'm more than impressed with the quality.
There is a 2-man version available, it's only 1.5kg and with shipping it would cost you around AU$350 from the US, so it fits in your budget.

It would be great if you could post a review and perhaps some photos/video. It looks like a great tent!
I'm interested to see it's packed size compared to every day objects.

Yeah, I am more looking for more information just on normal 2 man tents. I have never heard of tarptents though, so will have to look into then anyway.
Oh lalala Macca. :p
Matthias, that tent looks like a good tent... Did that use to be yours? what's it like?
