I will be doing some solo stuff (maybe the Beeripo walk) soon, as well as some group walks. I don't like to share my bedroom with anyone but super good friends or my husband, so, I've bought the meta 1 for these ventures. Expecting to get it late this week.
If you're still looking for a sleeping pad, mainpeak.com.au have very good prices on the exped sim UL - it's their competitive version of thermarest's neoair.

i'm sure i could always throw a few clothes on the ground though if gets cold and i haven't got a mat yet
money is not the issue, it's size and weight
btw. I will not be camping or trekking a whole lot, another reason why i can't justify the weight of a full setup
