TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

initially I found this quite funny, having to carry a battery device out into the back country just to inflate your pad, but my mates obviously didnt think it was so funny.
He bought one and apparently everyone in his group wanted to borrow it. ...

I guess its not so bad if you've got a party of 4 where you can all share the load?
I think its just all too easy to bag devices like this, saying its a gimmick and all. However we should probably support creative thinking and new inventions to encourage companies like this.

I looks pretty good. It's not expensive and it's not heavy.

The website says it 2.3oz with batteries. Thats only .8 of an ounce heavier (22grams) than an Instaflator. it's $25ish more expensive than an instaflator.

also the claimed 3 min time isn't bad
