I was just wondering where you all buy your gear and I am really just looking for reputable shops to buy from as I need some gear. I guess the store you buy from is the one that has the stuff you want :)

One shop that seems to have plenty of stuff is http://www.hiking.com.au, has anyone bought from that place ??

Thanks for any shop suggestions.

Cheers.

I've purchased from Macpac, Mountain Designs, Paddy Pallins and Snowgum in Australia.

Depends where you are. You can't go past Alpsport in West Ryde - and I'll say that having worked for 2 of their competitors.

I pretty much have browsed most of them, but nice to know the are real and not scam sites, some look so so professional.

Cheers.

Here in Launceston, I mostly use Mountain Designs and Allgoods (local shop). I just discovered we have a new Macpac store here the other day too, but haven't tried them yet.

When shopping online, I'll use almost any shop that appears to be reputable in terms of customer service, and which has the cheapest price for whatever I'm buying at the time.
