I am considering an Exped Chair Kit assuming it will work with my Synmat UL 7S of course.

I've seen something like this used with thermarest mats. It looks pretty comfy since logs and rocks generally don't provide back support lol

Yep - use a Big Agnes chair kit which will fit any mat up to 72" x 20". Weighs 180g from memory and is very comfortable. I have seen the Exped chair kits which look quite robust and weigh a bit more.

No, but I have had passing thoughts about getting one of the thermarest ones for my prolite, they look comfy enough for the size and weight. Anyone try or using one?
I met a guy recently who has one of these Sling-lite chairs, it was comfy enough but pretty awkwardly sized for backpacking and it was heavy at 600 or so grams. I also thought it was far from robust, it didn't look or feel like it could take much punishment. I may be wrong...

Well I am still tossing around options but I am thinking that the Crazy Creek Hex 2, probably the Original Chair. Anyone played with one? Hard to find to any substantive reviews on them.

I've never owned a Crazy Creek chair but I've sat in them a few times. Some people seem to like them but I found them pretty uncomfortable. You're sitting on the ground in one of them, not elevated like on a stool or a real chair (or even a rock). And the back doesn't support you like with a real chair since it depends on your weight to hold the whole thing down. If you really lean back you'll just roll over. Look at photos of people sitting in them -- do they look comfortable to you? They're kind of on the heavy side too. I'll bet you can find a rigid chair that weighs less.
