I'm going on a just over 2 week trip to NZ leaving Saturday, is gear cheaper there than prices in Australia? May be on the look out for a new pair of overpants to start, and see what else is out there.

Not really. Prices are similar from memory bit haven't looked there for a few years. There might be more range or different stuff, depending on which part of Aus you are from.

I was just there, I found them to be the same price but in NZ dollars, so there is a bit of a saving - For most item's.

Over xmas, I noticed the macpac olympus on sale was both $600 AUD here in sydney, and $600 NZ over there in nz. This worked out to be about $480 AUD and i was soooooo tempted, but with a new Hilleberg Nammatj tent still unused, I just couldnt justify the purchase.
However with most other gear, I found RRP to be comparable to Aussie prices, unless it was on sale. Icebreaker Merino in NZ was more expensive than ordering it online from the US for some reason.
