TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

They are a rip off!!!!
I started buying them from ebay a couple of years ago cause they were just getting too dear (at 4/5$ a pair), just checked in coles tonight- $8.23 for 2.... What a total rip off

So- Anyone got a good source for these? Ever seen rechargables?

If I wanted to know anything about this sort of thing I'd pop into Leading Edge in Devonport and ask the Ginger Ninja. He really knows his stuff that lad! :)

Look here

But if you really want to pay $9.00 a pair, send me a cheque. I'll even throw in a third one for free. :D

I was paying more attention to the price. Looks like Aussie's get ripped off (again). And now for the "how long is a piece of string" question - just what is "normal" usage, and how long should they last under normal usage?
