I don't know. I do recall the cats never getting near a bunny that had messy eyes. But Dad rarely brought those home. And mother would not consider feeding the family rabbit under any circumstances. You would have to be desperate to eat them when they were at that stage - very miserable looking things.

Forgot about ducks, yums, not sure how to catch them though. Nothing wrong with the ducks, right :(

If you thoroughly cook rabbit mean does that not kill all the bad stuff, or have we screwed rabbit meat in this country L=?

John I would not eat a rabbit that had a hint of mixo. Weepy eyes or drousy look - leave them alone I'd say.
That's not an answer based on science - just personal preference.
Milky does aren't on my eat list either, but they ought be safe to eat.
