Back country Cusinine still make really good freeze dried rice a wee bit expensive but "little goes a long long way" and it only requires boiling water just add your own flavouring .
Massel make a good range of MSG /animal gluten free stock powders so they are suitable for Vegos and the best thing is they are Ausralian owned and operated and taste really good.

Anyone tried Uncle Bens Instant Rice? I saw it in the supermarket a while back, and just remembered it when I saw this thread again. I think they had plain and flavoured varieties.
