I discovered butter powder a while ago, but it seems you can't get it in Australia, I think it would be a fantastic addition to your camping trip add much energy to your meals, just add water and you have butter, not sure how good it will be, but have to get some and see, would be good to add to some dehydrated recipes I would think.
Does anyone know where you can buy it in Australia, been goggling, but no luck, if not in Australia where in the world is a good place to buy some, I only want maybe 500 grams, just for a taste and try it with some recipes.
Cheers if you can help.

Hi John,
http://www.packitgourmet.com/Butter-Powder-p304.html maybe an option.
I have not purchased anything from them or tried to bring food in for overseas, so I will be interested to see how you go.
Might be worth a search on the quarantine site to see what can be brought into Australia
Good luck, W.

Yeah I saw them, postage is probably 50 bucks

Yep just checked $47.95 if I want to get two packs of butter powder, but only 16 bucks If I just want the one one 56 gram pack, might as well order some more stuff up to the 50 buck mark to make the postage worth it I guess

Looking forward to making some beef Stongonoff

Cheers.

Like it too. Great for cooking on hiking (and fly-fishing) trips.

dplanet how do you use the butter powder do you mix it with some kind of oil for the fish, I think thats what you have to do as the butter powder does not have any oil.
Cheers.

John,
I have not purchased it; therefore, not tried it yet. I am rather disappointed if it has no oil. For the fish I sometimes use coating mix with a bit of oil. Keep fingers crossed over Easter walk.
Happy Easter to All.
