Strive review

Postby nakedape » Sat 07 Apr, 2012 9:13 am

If I had to use one word to describe Strive foods products I'd say BLECH. We ate the spag-bog & the only positive about it was that it was hot. A complete lack of flavour only compounded the general lack of appeal of the cat food appearance in the bag - barf. The meals also take a long time to cook which means there's no real benefit from fuel savings.

We also had a issue with allergens. There were none listed on the web site, only on packaging. Strive were happy to do a swap but strangely felt that there was ample listing on the web site & can't see an issue (they must be blind or worse).

All up - not worth the fuss, effort or cost.

Some of the others aren't bad, I often get the creamy vegetable pasta or risotto. They do take a long time to cook though, never gotten the spag bog so wouldn't know on that one

I actually made a comment when I ordered some of their meals about 3 months ago that they should post the ingredients for each meal on the website. They thanked me for my suggestion, but if they're still not on there, it would appear they didn't think it to be worthwhile
