Food to Go is seriously good. It is written by a forum member specifically for bushwalkers. It covers all aspects of bushwalking food, not just dehydrating, but it does have a lot of good information on dehydrating of course. I learned a fair bit from it, and my home dried bushwalking food has improved out of sight since I first read it.

It's the same with just about everything at the moment. The market hasn't caught up yet. Most international businesses still have their prices the wrong way around. Makes it very expensive when you have to buy with the Australian dollar, when it should be much cheaper for us right now. TVs, computers, etc have not come down in price at all!
I have the Fowlers book but it doesn't realy explain dehydrating whole meals (stew, chilli con carne etc) - I was hoping to short cut the learning curve. The others sound good though - thanks for your help.
