garmin.openstreetmap.nl map compilation problem

Mon 07 Nov, 2016 6:31 pm

For your info.....
Regarding using OpenStreetMap on Garmin GPS.
The garmin.openstreetmap.nl site currently has a problem with map compilation that has been affecting users for sometime.
I suggest you try another provider until it is fully functioning again, as listed on the OSM Wiki OSM Map On Garmin/Download
I have been using Bbbike and they are quite good for me, but there are numerous other choices.
Also, if perusing the OSM Australia site (under Oceania section) select the 'Download' button to see more choices that first appear from the links above.

The garmin.openstreetmap.nl seems to be back up and running ok for a while now though the map version is 15-11-2016
Server status:
osm.pleiades.uni-wuppertal.de/garmin/, queue = 0 requests (~0 days), status = OK
osm2.pleiades.uni-wuppertal.de/garmin/, queue = 1 requests (~0 days), status = OK
sfs4.pleiades.uni-wuppertal.de/garmin/, queue = 0 requests (~0 days), status = OK

I just download a Generic Routable gmapsupp with no waiting.
