I've read some recent posts on these pages about some members and the sportiva GPS. I currently have a basic garmin etrex and want to upgrade to a map loadable unit which I'll be using for off track bushwalking in Tasmania. I've read that the sportiva will except Tasmap purchased 25k geotifs, which should get around the normal software complications. I would appreciate any help in this area , such as cost , supplier of this or any other unit that might be suitable

Hi wilson,

I bought my sportiva from the Aussie distributor in Perth here

Its possible there is a Tas distributor, you could contact Perth to check.
