Congratulations to the two tied winners. The tie-breaker vote this time goes to Rhino, with the Liffey Falls photo.

Congratulations Rhino :). I've only been to Liffey Falls once and it only had about 20% of the flow that you've captured. You must have picked a good day (or I just happened to strike a dry period).

That's the spirit, keep trying!
It's a top image in a photography sense - well exposed, great light, and who wouldn't be envious to strike that sort of weather. Good use of foreground, and the track leading the eye through the trees.

These competitions are always surprising, to see how the voting goes.
All for fun! :D

Thanks tasadam. Exactly right! It's always good to observe what others find appealing to the eye (in a bushwalking sense of course!!). It should make for better photos in the long run.

I'm a little worried about May though. Someone's going to have to come up with something special to beat some of those Pieman River photos (by mickeymoo I think?)!

Cheers. Yeah I was hoping there would be a good flow of water as it was a couple of days after we had that heap of rain. It was actually suprising the shots came out half reasonable because it was very close to dusk when we got there. Would have loved to have done Meander Falls that day as there was plenty of water coming down compared to when we did it the fortnight beforehand.
