Just out of interest, was photo 10 taken in the morning or evening?

With the sun behind and the photo is taken looking east, then it must be evening...

Haha this months comp is amusing. Its like.. 'oh thats a nice photo,. oh thats not bad as well.., I know where that is' etc. And then you get to the end one and BAM!! An amazing shot with just about all the features you could want in a landscape photo. Jagged mountains, reflections, sunset.. :D Anyway congrats to whoever it is.

The shot of Rinadena Falls is compositionally interesting, correct aperture override by the look, love that myrtle on the left, and log on lower right hand corner, not only that - makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I like! :D

I want to echo some of the other comments here, and apologise to the nine other photographers who didn't win - every single shot in here was *&%$#! good, and a couple of them were frankly excellent. Pity only one could win.

woo! my first vote!

There were certainly some lovely shots here. I managed to miss the voting though, how long was it open for? I really liked number 5 with its beautiful cloudscape.

Thanks Swifty. I was really lucky because that was literally the last stop I took that day and it turned out to be the best one.

Congratulations Eggs! That is really a great shot.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Photography is all about timing, and I was very fortunate to be at that location in good weather. Though looking at a number of my other snaps, I still have to learn a lot about getting them right.

They are all good photos, but I would also like to say how good Nick S's [name updated] photo of Mt Lee is.
Before that picture I didn't even know the place existed. What a trip just to get there, and the delicate features of the morning are well captured!
Good job.

Brian

hey thanks eggs.
Yeah it is a fair trip just to get there, which made it a bit more special. All the surrounding ranges and valleys were new to me.
