I'm surprised, thought the Fortress Canyon would have been a shoe-in. Shows how much I know about popular photography!
Cheers all.

I'm not, it's a beautiful shot John, more evocative of a bushwalking theme than choppers awesome photo.
Loved Peter's pic of the wedgie too, and Mark's fun-guy looks like it ate the leaf below, very cool.

Thanks Dan, I'm pleased to have the winning image this month, coincidentally haven't spent last weekend camped at roughly centre left of my shot :). I thought all the photos had something to offer, for different reasons. Chopper's photo is a terrific canyoning action shot. Mark's fun-guy does justice to the macro closeup genre. I was a little surprised that frenchy's Mt Anne sunset didn't win as it's quite awe-inspiring, but he did win the Tassie comp with another impressive shot.

[sour grapes] He won the Tassie comp with a shot that is almost identical to one I had planned to enter for Australia THIS month. Spoilsport.[/sour grapes]
*sigh* At least I know the shot would have polled well . . .

I guess, for me, the problem with the Grose Valley shot is that I've seen it a thousand times as it's just the standard tourist shot taken from the lookout and it didn't have the impact a couple of the others had.
I took a panorama from the same spot awhile ago but normally don't even bother to take one when I'm there.
If you like that sort of stuff you might appreciate the Kanangra Walls one I got once also.
Cheers all

Not quite correct. It was taken from the track below the lookout. I'm glad we aren't playing for sheep stations Ian :).
