After the quality of last month, only 5 entries.... I wonder if people got scared off? Or was the weather really bad all month?

It was a pretty bad month for walking in Tas, and my entry was just for fun, thanks for the vote Mark.

Because it's obviously a standout  The view from The Hill of Doom aka Martin's Peril wasn't too bad considering.

It is more scared off , I took mine (5 ) on top of KW1 on a balmy August day.We average run of the mill punters don't stand a chance against to quality e.g. photos 1 and 2 in this months comp. Terrific jobs. As for Punters like me we will plod along with our amateurish efforts despite the fact that a fricking painting gets more votes than your little effort...lol

Very nice! Photo 1 was mine.... seems the autobot is lazy these days.... I take it as a huge compliment that i got as many votes as i did up against shot no.2... even if it IS the most cliche shot in all of Tasmania......

What a knock-out win. congrats Shazcol. Don't agree about being a cliche either. No matter how you look at it, it's a beautiful place and a a stunning picture IMO :)

You didn't do too bad either ILUV  . Great shot. Very moody.

I once said I would never take a typical photo like that of Cradle like every one else has! Glad I did, it was hard not to. I also got some perfect reflection photo's around at Wombat Pool that you can turn upside down and people can't tell which way is the right way up if you show them. The wind was absolutely zero that morning.

Yup a classic cradle shot, the fog makes it very cool. Nice work.

Wish I could paint tt just making a boring shot slightly less boring

I have posted for a bit of fun a poll here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7735 of one reflection photo to see how many people can guess which way is up? Hope this is not a complete failure!

The full explanation of this is here. (Please use that other topic for any further discussion of that issue, keeping this topic for discussion specific to this competition).

In reference to ILUV's first comment, he may have been referring to the poll not having been posted at that time. And yes, I will have to smack the autobot around a bit.

Great photo Shaz. Totally symmetrical photos can look a bit bland but in this case it just works. Love the mist on the lake.
Would have liked to see the view from Mt Campbell (on the left) that morning ... that's on the photo to-do list. Hope I get conditions like this!
