Overland at Google Earth

Mon 07 Apr, 2008 6:55 pm

Hi Folks,

A recent update of Google Earth imagery now has the northern half of the Overland Track and the Cradle Valley day use area in much better detail. Works well with the KML file located on the PWS website - http://www.overlandtrack.com.au/doing_maps.html - Right click the KML link and save to your desktop. Then open GE and File, Open,...search for the file on your desktop and voila!

Imagery is slightly out but I can assure you the track is pretty good (its my work!). I have asked GE to try and correct the imagery but not sure if that will occur.

Cheers - Phil
