Cams Cords here in Geelong are clearing their black 38mm belt buckles. All plastic so you don't need to remove your belt when going through security cheack at the airport
https://www.camscords.com.au/products/w ... black-38mm I just think it is an ideal solution to a modern first world problem

Loved this one and made 2 belts, after a bit of surgery recently they are the only belts I can wear so thank you, Moondog!

WRT to plastic buckles and airport security etc, yes in some domestic airports still (and some overseas), but in my experience over the previous couple months of flying, not in Melbourne, or Singapore Changi or London Heathrow, for that matter - at these airports they make you take off belts no matter what and check them(I suspect they are checking for ceramic belt knives - interestingly they only did this to guys, not the women). Some airlines now also use the full body scanners, not just metal detectors in the gate, so additionally make you remove everything in pockets.
Having recently travelled abroad I’ve found that every airline seems to have differing requirements in the detail, and these change by airport even on the same carrier.
FWIW, If you go by trains there’s none of this, or the requirement for baggies for gels, creams, liquids or limits on same.
