Mt Ironstone

Hi all,

Managed a stroll up onto the Plateau on the 13th September via Syds Track. Lovely day, only trouble was we fell just short of the final goal....Ironstone..!

Seemed we approached from slightly the wrong angle...

Have attached some snaps from the day.

Yes it is tricky to find the right path to this mountain ..and find a return path . Perhaps the easiest reference is from Whiteley's Hut if you look toward the mountain , then look to the right ..looking south , south east , you'll see a single pine tree. That is the general direction of the track . Once at the top , its fairly easy to follow.
