My apologies for being ignorant in this matter, but is there fagus on Mt Wellington or surrounds?

There is a small stand of Nothofagus cunninghamii below the organ pipes, but no gunni that I've ever heard of or come across.

None wild - conditions unsuitable, only some in private gardens at Fern Tree.
