Walls, Lees, Arm River Circuit

Postby winterling » Sun 06 Jun, 2010 12:02 pm

Suggestions welcome re our proposed trip for later in the year. Walk starting at the Walls car park to Dixsons, then down via Lakes Adelaide and Meston, up over Ragoona via Lake Myrtle track to Lees Paddocks, on to Arm River track finishing at car park.
How many days would people suggest re apparently slow around sections like lake Adelaide? (Chapman etc)
Phil.

G'day Phil,
You have picked a really nice circuit walk, day one to Dixons easy ,day two to Meston not so easy (good camping at the top end of the Lake) day three via Myrtle track and Mersey Forest road to Lees Paddocks easy if you camp at the top end of Pine Hut Plains (about 14 km) slightly more taxing if you head on into the Paddocks (add another 5km), day four Reedy Lake track to Arm River Track ,walking is reasonably good, navigation can be interesting :) there are good campsites on the rise at the top end of Lake Ayr, day five an easy walk on the Arm River track to the car park.
Just my thoughts,
Have fun.

Thanks corvus, your feedback provides a clearer picture of sections and times required.
