Willies Falls Crabtree

Postby digitalgiraffe » Wed 29 Jun, 2011 1:22 pm

Hey guys,

I'm looking at doing a walk on the weekend to either Billy Browns Falls or Willies Falls.

Looking at my maps there is no direct track to Willies falls but there are two tracks that go either side of the gully. Do I take the Stony Point Track or Jeferey's Track and there will be a side track off the track I need to follow? Or am I completely off topic and should I walk up Crabtree Rivulet?

I can't seem to find much information on these falls anywhere so any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul

We did this walk today. To be honest it was pretty tough. It took us 4 hours to cover 4km.

To get in you have to walk up the Crabtree Rivulet. There is no track so you are swapping sides of the creek the whole way up. Leeches? I have never seen so many.

Not overly excited about the walk out we took a gamble at finding the Stony Point Trail which was above us somewhere. To get to the trail was another mission. A climb up a few hundred metres of scree. I guess it was better than trying to walk back down the Rivulet.
