Sorry, I don't have any specific advice about how to find the track, but did want to mention that the track gets even more vague and difficult to follow once higher up and out of the vegetation. There are also little to no land marks to help with navigation. A very tricky area sometimes.

Although I wouldn't go that far, I would say that you should expect to lose the track if you haven't been there before, as even those who've done the track multiple times often end up going by slightly different routes each time.
