Rhona and beyond

How far 'beyond' are you thinking?

Hopefully through to the Spires, see how I go.
Not good with scrub, too old and unfit for alot of it.

Didn't get to the Spires, only got as far as Badgers Flat, had a couple of issues and decided I would have to leave the Spires for another time.
The march flies were terrible out there. Had two very pleasant camps up on the Denison Range though, Lake Malana and under Reeds Peak.

Wow, that's gotta be an entry for the "favourite/best campsites" thread! Looks like a great spot to kip, and you had even better weather to boot, lucky sod. Had the same photo been taken around the time we were up there towards the end of last year, you'd be lucky to even see as far as the tent...

How was the going between Reeds Peak and Badgers Flat? What were the issues? Gell River crossing and scrub?

I had a couple of reasons for turning around , but not to do with the country I was travelling in.
the going from Reeds Peak along the Range was fairly easy going, a bit of rock hopping. Once you turn to go down of the Range there is a track/route. Dont turn down until you find this track. The track down is ok and fairly easy to follow.
Once you are off the range its choose your own route through the button grass.
