I'll be visiting Tassie with my family and we'd like to do some family camping on Bruny Island. Any recommendations?
We're also looking for another location to camp for 3-4 days later in our trip. We've got small kids so somewhere near or at the car is preferable.
I'm still trying to get an overnight hike in with my 5yo while visiting. I was thinking a place were it's not too far to a hut would be nice, but am happy to use a tent. Any suggestions for a good relatively easy walk suitable for him?

There are two Parks campgrounds on Bruny - One near the neck and the other way down south at Jetty Beach. Both are popular at weekends but during the week they are often very quiet.

I'd recommend Jetty Beach so you can do the Labillardiere peninsula walk (great track). There are heaps of great walks on Bruny. There used to be a camping ground at Cloudy Bay too (is it still there?).
Anyway, check this out:
