Hi Folks
I'll be heading to Hobart for a quick work trip toward the end of March. I'm only going to have one free day to myself and want to do a full day's bushwalk (no time to do an overnighter sadly). I have never been to Tas before so not sure where to start. Any ideas for a good full day walk (up to 20ish km) that is close to Hobart, has good bang for the buck, just an all round fun day out.
thanks in advance.

If you are a good walker and the weather is right you could do a circuit at Mt Field.
Start at Lake Dobson - out to Mt Field West and back via Newdegate and the Tarn shelf - 24 kms [19km if returning directly from Field West]

eggs beat me to it. One of the best daywalks on the island and it's less than an hour's drive from Hobart.

If you feel like staying close to town Mt Wellington has some great walks, views and falls.

Thanks for the tips...Mt Field seems to have my name all over it. Thanks.
