The Lake Skinner walk is appealing at this time of year.
This week a keen bushwalker returned to the car park from an overnight walk to find his vehicle incinerated.
Beware.

That is terrible news! Do you know if the car body was recovered or is it still on site?

I came across it the morning after and ended up having to break the news to the poor bloke..horrible way to say hello. Probably also a good reminder to ensure you have some form of emergency communication. It could have easily been a matter of returning from a walk late in the day to find yourself stranded without mobile coverage.

Interesting. A few years back someone else had a car burnt out at the Nevada trackhead. Seems someone down that way doesn't like bushwalkers.
