Yesterday a friend and drove round the Mt Barrow forest trail. At the moment the waratahs are in full bloom , putting on a good show .There are 5 short walks associated with this trail . The area is run by forrestry , and to their credit they have preserved an old logging area , put in interpretive signs etc. Nice bbq area etc , would be a good area to take kids for some walks. The owner of the Nunamara shop is the best local knowledge source . They shut the boomgate at 5pm so don't get caught.
