Man dies on Mt Oakley summit

A New South Wales man died on the summit of Mount Oakley in Tasmania yesterday afternoon.
Police sent a rescue helicopter to respond to calls the 59-year-old was suffering a medical condition, but he was found to be dead upon arrival.
His body was winched into the helicopter and airlifted to the Launceston Airport.

Yes it is sad. I guess if you're going to go, might as well go doing something you love.
I'm not sure regarding the name, but I suspect you're right. Is there actually a Mt Oakley, or has the sunglasses brand got themselves a free advert...

Wow, that is sad indeed! By medical condition do they mean heart attack?
EDIT= Said in the Mercury Heart attack, also said on Mt Oakley near Cradle mtn. I guess it must be Oakleigh. Poor fella and his family!
